I keep seeing posts on r/Hedera claiming that Shayne Higdon of the HBAR Foundation might have intentionally misled investors. They suggest that Shayne worded the news about Archax and Ownera tokenizing BlackRock’s ICS U.S. Treasury Fund on Hedera in a way that made it seem like BlackRock chose Hedera. This supposedly caused the price to pump, and Shayne, who was responsible for breaking the news, allegedly sold off his holdings to profit from the surge.
Does anyone have more insight or thoughts on this?
No, Shayne did not mislead investors or dump on them. He simply sold some of his HBAR while it was pumping, which is something many of us do, myself included. Granted, it might have been viewed differently if he hadn’t been the one to break the news.
That said, in my opinion, it looks like The HBAR Foundation, and maybe Hedera itself, are under attack. This could be from an entity that applied for a grant from the foundation and was denied, or perhaps a competing crypto firm.
I’ve read many of the claims being made, and so much of it is false—complete fabrications. It seems like an attempt to weaken the Hedera community and discourage future investors from buying HBAR. Clearly, this is a smear campaign meant to tarnish Hedera’s reputation.
We need to stay vigilant and support each other through this. The truth will eventually come out, and Hedera will continue to grow stronger.
It makes sense that this group of people would target The HBAR Foundation, which has seen significant success in several key areas: funding and grants, partnerships, ecosystem growth, and increasing awareness and adoption. It looks like a strategic attack where this group is spreading false claims, trying to convince the community that the foundation is a waste of their investment. They seem to be trying to rally the community to dismantle the foundation, which would undoubtedly slow the growth of Hedera. Sadly, it appears that some members of the community are falling for this clever ruse.
Yes, it’s definitely an attack on Hedera. They’ve been under fire from major competitors for years. It seems to have all started when Charles Hoskinson called it centralized garbage. This is a covert war to stop Hedera before it makes all other projects obsolete.
